Sustainable Procurement Policy

The sustainable procurement policy of the university aims to establish certain purchasing standards in a way that will ensure the benefit not only to the institutions, but also to the society and the economy and  minimize the damages to the environment. To achieve this, central contracts will be evaluated in terms of corporate governance, financial soundness and attractiveness, innovation capacity, business integrity and ethics. It is expected from the suppliers to include equality and diversity during their employment processes, be inclusive of people, comply with human rights, and provide their employees with appropriate working conditions and fair wages. In addition, care will be taken to work with companies that attach importance to environmentally sustainable resource, energy and water use, carbon emissions and waste management.
