The management of financial resources at Dokuz Eylul University, which is in the scope of special budget institutions within the scope of the Central Government Budget, is structured every year. This structuring is carried out by distributing the appropriations allocated to our institution by the budget law, to the spending units in line with the budget possibilities, taking into account the expenditures of the units in the past years and the current expenditures they plan to make in the following year.

Investment projects covered by our university’s capital group grants are in the fields of education, health, sports, culture and technology, especially environmental investments that support sustainable energy sources and reduction of fossil fuel consumption. One of the major examples of these investments is the contract for the installation of systems for the generation of electrical energy through solar energy harvesting in the buildings located on the campuses of the University. When the project is completed, it will enable the reduction of fossil fuel consumption and thus fossil fuel-based emissions, the reduction of carbon footprint, and contribute to a sustainable economy and sustainable environment throughout the university.

At our university, there is a department related to sustainability, many undergraduate and graduate level courses and related programs, and an investment policy statement that will be available to the public is being prepared.
